Who can participate as a designer?

What are the benefits of being a table designer?
Each designer will receive:
-
Recognition in the event program, on social media and the Virginia Tablescapes website.
-
An opportunity to introduce yourself to guests at An Evening at Tablescapes and Toast to Tablescapes.
-
Professional photos of your tablescape.
-
A feature in Save the Date Brochure for Virginia Tablescapes 2027.

What’s included, and what do I need to bring?
Each designer will receive a 72” round table that seats 10 guests. Designers should provide their own tablecloth, centerpiece, plates, silverware, glassware, and chairs at a minimum.
Can I use any rental company?
Only Rent E-Quip and Lennox Monroe may deliver and pick up rentals at The Foundry. Lennox Monroe is offering free delivery and 10% off to designers. If you prefer another vendor, you’ll need to handle transport yourself.
When is set up and tear down?
Setup is on Friday, March 27 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!
Ahead of Saturday's showcase, designers can reset their tables between 8 am and 10 am on Saturday, March 28.
Breakdown begins Saturday, March 28 after 2:00 PM. All items must be removed by 5:00 PM. Volunteers will be available to assist.
What is the table reset period?
During the evening event on Friday, guests will be seated at your tables for dinner. Guests will view your full tablescapes from 6:00 to 7:15. At 7:15, guests will be encouraged to head outside, while designers have 30 minutes to remove the silverware, plates, napkins, and glassware from the table. The catering staff will then set the table for eating. Volunteers will be available to help you remove items during this window. A tub will be provided to store items underneath your table. On Saturday from 8 am and 10 am, you’ll reset the table with your decor items, so that your table is fully reset for the Saturday viewing.
Note to last year's designers: This is a change from last year. This year’s event incorporates feedback from previous designers that they would like to see a more approachable ticket price that allows for larger crowds to view your beautiful tables. We hope this provides even greater exposure and community recognition for your work. We realize this adjustment adds a bit more time for setup and resets, and we truly appreciate your extra effort and commitment.
Will guests be eating at my table?
Yes, guests will eat dinner at your table on Friday night. We understand that there may be concerns about guests eating at your table. Little Hands will offer 10 placemats to every designer during the reset period if you'd like to provide extra table coverage during dinner. However, designers are welcome to provide their own if they prefer something that matches their table’s design. There will not be a seated meal on Saturday.
I'm interested. How do I get involved?
Thank you for your interest in supporting Virginia Tablescapes! Please submit your 2026 Designer Application by December 8, 2025. All designers will be notified no later than December 12, 2025.
